Donations to the Auckland RSA (Inc) Poppy Day Appeal
Friday 19 April, 2013
The Veterans of the Auckland RSA have served in every conflict that New Zealand has contributed to; on land, sea and in the air. Every year the number of Veterans who have served in war diminishes, but the number of servicemen and women who have served on peace-keeping missions grows. These young men and women are Veterans of the 21st Century - their service is of no lesser value than the service of our elderly Veterans and their needs are sometimes just as great.
Some of our young Veterans suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), some need assistance in paying for medical treatment and some struggle with their general health and welfare, so your donation is used to help these ex-soldiers, sailors and airmen & women lead normal lives.
The Auckland RSA is also about to commence on a bold new path - offering financial support to selected youth to allow them to study, gain experience as leaders and to grow as young New Zealanders. Your gift will play a meaningful part in the future of our country.
Please give generously this Poppy Day, Friday 19 April 2013 throughout Auckland to help a Veteran who has sacrificed so much for his or her country.
Every cent you donate is managed by a skilled group of Executives.
